A reminder to return these participation forms by tomorrow to the school office for year 5/6 students who are wanting to participate in the Biorhythms teeth project.  Forms were sent home last week after Sophie's visit with Hoiho and Kakapo's classrooms.  This is a project being run from the Dental Faculty at the University of Otago.

Car Parking
When you are dropping off or collecting your children, please do not park over the neighbours' driveways as they cannot get out.  Thank you.

Congratulations
Last weekend some of our U11 rugby players represented North Otago in the annual representative rugby tournament against teams from Mid and South Canterbury and Waimate Selection. The North Otago team came 2nd overall and congratulations to these 4 players who made the paper tournament team: Michael Woodhouse and Kenton Tokai from our school and Kenny Mania and AJ Esela who play for St Joseph's.

Daffodil Day - Mufti Day
Tomorrow we are all wearing something yellow in support of Daffodil Day with all proceeds going to North Otago Cancer care. Everyone is to bring a gold coin donation for this worthy cause.

Filmmakers in School Festival and Awards Night
This will be held on Wednesday 18th September at 7.00 pm at St Kevin's Auditorium.  Fun for the whole family and come and support Waitaki's next generation filmmakers including at least 4 film making teams from our school.  Gold coin entry.

Hungry Horse Cafe
A notice has gone home to all Yr 7 families regarding volunteering their time at the Hungry Horse Cafe on Sunday 22nd September.  This is a very good fundraiser and each class only has to volunteer their time for a couple of hours once a year for this cause.

Lost Property
There is a huge amount of unnamed lost property in the foyer.  Please come and check if it belongs to your child.

North Otago Cross Country
Congratulations to the children who have qualified for this event next Monday at the Oamaru Racecourse.  All children who qualified for the NOCC had received a note last week to take home.  We need to know who will be attending this event so we do not miss any children entering their race.

Please ensure the children are at the race track between 3.30 and 3.45 pm to meet Mrs Asi who will give them their name labels and will be managing them.  The North Otago course is held in the same area as our school course and is changed slightly.  Parents must stay in the designated viewing area as they are not allowed on the course.  There is to be no parking on the race track nor are dogs allowed.
First race starts at 4.00 pm.

Parish Freezer
Years 1-4 in the junior school are down to volunteer for the Parish Freezer.  We would be very grateful if the families could kindly donate baking or cooked meal items before the end of term 3.  the items can be baking or a main meal e.g. soups, casseroles, lasagna, muffins or biscuits etc.  If you are in a position to contribute, thank you. Please bring your kindly donated food to the school office.
