1. Principal's News Week 3 Term 3, 2019

Teacher Only Day
A last reminder that we have a teacher professional development day on Friday 9th and school will be closed.

Upcoming Consultation

Cultural groups are invited to meet with us and share food on Tuesday 20th August at 7pm in the staffroom.

Families of students identified as Maori are invited at either 8am or 2.30pm on Thursday 22nd August, also in the staffroom..

Congratulations to Moana Ahotaeiloa (mother of Manu and Mele) who receives the $50 grocery voucher from our survey draw.

From the survey the top five learner qualities identified by our families are:

respectful, confident, problem-solver, has a sense of hauora (holistic wellbeing including mind, body, and spirit), and responsible

followed by: resilience, honest, caring and inclusive

Great picture of Molly investigating electrical circuits
That gives us a picture about what is important to our community.  We will use the information from the survey on our teacher professional development day on Friday to develop the type of curriculum that meets our community's aspirations.

Many thanks to Network Waitaki who sponsored our year 8s to attend National Young Leader's Day.

God Bless and Aroha
