Rippa Rugby Tournament
Yesterday our Yr 5/6 rippa rugby team played in the Hanan Cup Rippa Tournament against schools from North Otago, Mid and South Canterbury.  It was a cold and frosty start to the morning but as the day went on, the temperatures rose and it was a great day for rippa rugby.  Our team took the first game to settle in and lost by 2 tries and then warmed up to have a draw, then another loss by 2 tries and lost to the eventual winner coming from Timaru. The players improved throughout the day and gave it their all and were a pleasure to represent the school.  A big thank you to Garry and Sebastian Whiston for coaching the team and to the parents who came and supported them.   Photos in next week's blog.

Community Notices

  • Waitaki Draft District Plan

Waitaki District Council is saying having drop-in sessions across the district for the Draft District Plan.  The proposed changes affect all community members, and we encourage everyone to come, and to also provide feedback, before more formal steps are taken. May you kindly assist by spreading the following information for us in your newsletter. I will also send a poster with the drop in session dates:

  •

Waitaki District Council are having Draft District Plan drop-in sessions in Oamaru, Weston, Kakanui and across the district to give you an opportunity to ask questions on how the draft plan affects you or your property and for you to provide feedback. The Draft District Plan affects everyone in Waitaki District- whether you are a landowner, business owner, property owner or just a resident and regulates what you can and can't do on your property, business, zoning issues, town growth and some day-to-day activities. This is your opportunity to have your say.
