Documents
Early next week each family will be given 7 forms to fill out and return to the school office. These include a mixture of contact information, health and safety, sports, cyber safety etc. Please keep an eye out for them in your child's bag.
Home and School AGM
The Home and School are holding their AGM on Thursday 14th March at 7.00 pm in the school staff room. This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing bunch of enthusiastic and hard working ladies who wish to provide 'extras' for the children. They have two main fundraisers a year which is the ''Mud Run' and the Multi-Cultural Food Fair and they would love for you to come on board whether as a full committee member or a helper behind the scenes. All money raised benefits your children. The Home and School organise meals for families in need and parent networking among the school community. Remember the saying 'Many hands make light work' and it is certainly the case in this instance.
Oamaru Eye Care
A very big thank you to Oamaru Eye Care for kindly donating sunglasses to all our new entrants. During the last week when it has been hot and sunny, the children have been wearing them every day as part of the sun safety awareness along with their hats. Thank you very much Oamaru Eye Care.Pastoral Care
During the year, some of our school families experience times of compassionate need; like the death of a close family member, severe illness/injury or hardship. About twice a year, all classrooms will have one month of the school year to contribute to the Parish Welfare Freezer.
Year 8: We would be very grateful if the families could donate baking or cooked meal items before the end of March. The items can be baking or a main meal e.g. soups, casseroles, lasagna, muffins or biscuits. If you are in a position to contribute, please bring your kindly donated food to the school office on Monday mornings. Thank you.
This week each family will receive a parish booklet which gives a wonderful account of what happens within the parish life. Please read it and if you are new or wish to volunteer, please fill in the coloured Parishioner Form and return it to the Parish Office by the church.
