Basketball - Wednesday 7^th June

With there being a lot of sickness around at the moment, some teams are struggling to field a team.  Please note the following:

-  Where possible, teams should pull players from the grade below to fill spaces

-  If teams have to pull players sideways, we would assume that if you are taking from a stronger team to a not so strong team, that you will do the honourable thing and use the lest strongest players.

-  In both cases above, please email the changes to the Association prior to game night so that we have a record of the changes in case of a dispute.

-  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Reminders

·         If you are setting up the gyms for the first games of the night, please remember to move the netball hoops away from the back of the court into the corners.

·         Basketballers/miniballers should use the toilets down the hallway

U13 Basketball Trials

Will be held on Thursday 8^th June at the Waitaki Rec Centre.  Girls will be from 4.00 to 4.45 pm and boys from 4.45 to 5.30 pm.  North Otago Basketball are still looking for a coach for the U13 girls team and if you are interested, please contact Susan de Geest.

Network Waitaki Basketball Tournament for Yr 7 and 8

Entries are out for this tournament on Friday 14^th, Saturday 15^th and Sunday 16^th July.  Teams are boys or girls.  Contact Susan de Geest for an entry form on degeest.con@xtra.co.nz

Basketball Battle WBHS v SKC

On Saturday 10^th June at the Waitaki Recreation Centre, Waitaki Boys High School and St Kevin’s College are playing two games of basketball as a fundraiser.  The junior 5 play at 5.30 pm and the First 5 play at 7.30 pm.  Gold coin entry with sweets and drinks are available to buy.
