Below please find information from the Lions Club regarding the speech competition on Sunday 3rd July. The letters and entry forms are also attached to the email.
The Lions Clubs from Waimate to Palmerston would like to invite any of your pupils to come and join in the Junior Speech Contest held on the 3rd July 2022 and the Fenwick School hall in Hull St Oamaru. Please find attached relative information for the years, and for the parents of any child that wishes to attend.
This is a great way to get children into speaking in public, to give a child to speak in class etc. They get feedback from our judges who are Toastmasters and speech and drama teachers. Also, there is a light lunch for a donation to Lions Clubs to help those in need.

YEAR 5 - 8 LETTER
Dear Parent,
Lions Clubs within North Otago are presently preparing and organising this years’ Junior Speech Contest. Those eligible to enter the contest are Primary pupils who are in their years of 5 & 6, 7 or 8.
This year the contest is to be held on Sunday 3rd July. The venue is the Fenwick School Hall, Hull St, Oamaru, starting at 9.45am with speech order organisation and a 10-00am start for the contest. The junior contest is finished by 12.00pm.
We ask that if your child is an entrant in the contest would you please ensure that he/she is present by the required time.
Your support to our contest is very much appreciated. Contestants’ entry is free, as they are sponsored by the combined North Otago Lions Clubs. The speeches can be on any topic.

Subject of their own choice. Power Point, or similar, presentations are not allowed.
