CARING FOR OUR COMMON HOME (Season of Creation) :

Water - (UN Sustainability Goal No 6) Did these reflections increase your appreciation of water as the source of all creation? Have you become more aware of water and the crucial part it plays in our lives.  What changes can we make to conserve water and develop a relationship with this essential life-giving gift. As citizens of NZ/Aotearoa should we be demanding that legislation be updated in order to preserve this precious resource for future generations?  DID YOU KNOW: 8 major rivers of the world, no longer reach the sea;  Trees are a source of water they create water vapour and precipitation (rain) and help form streams and rivers. How can we better protect all water sources from pollution and commercial exploitation?
Spiritual Reading
'We meditate before, during and after everything we do. The prophet says: "I will pray, and then I will understand." This is the way we can easily overcome the countless difficulties we have to face day after day, which, after all, are part of our work. In meditation we find the strength to bring Christ to birth in ourselves and in others.'
Special Character:Religious Education Strand.
Our children are learning about Communion of Saints Strand: Te Kotahitanga o Te Hunga Tapu. Mary, as the mother of Jesus has a special place amongst the saints.
Junior Hub 1 worked with each other: to describe tapu (holiness) in relation to Mary.  Describing is a multistructural SOLO activity.
TRADITIONAL PRAYER TO PRAY FOR THE SOULS IN PURGATORY especially remembered during the month of November
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace. Amen.
