4. Rippa Rugby Tournament

Last Friday we entered 5 teams in the North Otago primary schools Rippa Rugby Tournament held at Whitestone Contracting Stadium. We entered a Yr 3/4 team, a Yr 5/6 team and 3 teams of Yr 7/8 in which the Yr 3/4 team got 2nd in their grade by one point and the Yr 5/6 team won their grade. The Yr 7/8 teams got 5th, 7th and 8th respectively. Later this year, the Yr 5/6 team will compete in the Mid and South Canterbury competition in which the winner from that competition will play in the national competition in Wellington. Thank you to Jason Forest, NORFU and referees from St Kevin's for organising and running the day. A big thanks to all the coaches, supporters and car drivers who made this a successful day. Also thank you to Mr Moore for supporting us all.
