Information
·
Parents
and supporters are not to go on the courts during the games. They also need to keep away from the goal
ends of the court and are not allowed to follow the play of the ball up and
down the side line. Coaches/managers
need to ensure this is adhered to. This
will be supervised by members of the Exec.
·
The
umpires are young and have attended umpiring sessions so please support them in
this role. Please ensure that no
comments (unless they are positive) are made to, or about their umpiring. If you feel there is an issue about an umpire
you need to voice this concern to a member of the exec. committee who are readily
available on a Saturday. Please also
inform exec. members if the umpires are doing a good job.
·
Please
place bags well away from the ends of the courts and they are not to be placed
between courts where space is limited for the umpires.
·
Children
need to be supervised at all times when they are at the courts. Be responsible.
·
A
reminder that the only wheels that are allowed on the courts are wheelchairs
and pushchairs.
·
Upstairs
will only be accessible on cold days and on these days it needs to be kept tidy
to ensure it can remain open on these days.
No balls are allowed upstairs.
Please ensure children do not take any equipment out of any of the rooms
that is not theirs to take.
·
Players
are required to take the courts with no jewellery, with exceptions being made
for junior players with medic alert bracelets. No taping of earrings, bracelets
or necklaces will be allowed.
·
Cancellations
– each club has provided NONC with one contact number should there be any
cancellations during the season. These
contacts will get a text and it is their responsibility to contact the team
coaches who then need to contact their team members. This text tree will be started by 8.00 am,
earlier if possible. It will also be put
on the North Otago Netball Facebook page and their website.
Rugby
Mouthguards – are compulsory for all players
New Rugby Jerseys
We have
brand new rugby jerseys for this season and we would love to keep them looking
new. Please wash them in cold water only and do not put them in the clothes dryer.
Shorts
Players
are to wear their school PE shorts as part of their rugby uniform.
We are
gauging interest to see if anyone is interested in purchasing a more durable
pair of shorts as part of our rugby uniform.
The shorts will cost $30 each and will be yours to own. The money will
need to be paid up front before we can send orders away. You do not have to buy
these shorts.
Please let
Mrs Brien know if you are interested in purchasing these shorts and we will get
some for you to try on.
Second hand rugby boots – there are some free rugby boots
outside the uniform shop. You are
welcome to take them if they fit your children.
Coaches Course – all coaches are required to attend
a Rugby Smart coaching course on Wednesday 8th May at Whitestone
Contracting Stadium at 6.00 pm even if you attended it last year.

will last for two weeks before being split into 2 or 3 sections depending on

game.

The boys section will play 1 full round and then split into top and
bottom. The girls/mixed sections will
play 2 rounds.
The Referees
will also act as Court Controllers so any issues, see them or note on the score
