Chess Tournament
Last Thursday we had 13 children compete in the Timaru/Oamaru Chess Tournament held at Fenwick School. They all played 7 games each lasting most of the day and were awarded certificates on how well they played. Due to the senior children being away this week, I was not able to get any results. (editor) Thanks to Suzy Jorgensen and Rose Davies for your supervision at this tournament.
We urgently require more parent help to help as marshals as we only have 3 names and it is on next Tuesday. If we don't get more helpers, we will look at changing the order of the races which will be on the day to accommodate the marshalls. Please let Mrs Brien know if you can help. Named tarpaulins and rugs are also required otherwise your child will be sitting on the grass. All children are expected to participate in this cross country.
If it is raining, it will be school as usual and the postponement day is on Wednesday 29th August. North Otago Cross Country is on Monday 3rd September for Yrs 4-8.
Otago Cross Country - if your child is interested in attending this event on Friday 14th September, please let Mrs Brien know.
