1. Principal's News Term 4, Week 1, 2022

Year 6 Camp

I spent a lovely day and night with the year 6s on camp yesterday.  The children were awesome, were really supportive of each other, and had a lot of fun.  Yesterday they did an environmental stream study and the children took a lot of time and interest in finding out what is in the river and how that reflects the overall health of the river.  The children also did the exciting gorge scramble which included abseiling and crossing the gorge using ropes.  Today they are doing archery, sailing, and kayaking.

Here are some initial photos from our stream study and there will be more to follow on Facebook.

Community and Social Events for Term 4

Congratulations - we raised $2269 from our chocolate fundraiser.  Thank you and well done to our families for your mahi (work) on this.  I can now start looking for some water fountains.

UPCOMING

Please note - pine cone fundraiser.  The Laming's are opening their farm on Saturday 29th October from 11am to 1.30pm.  They will be providing bags and families can collect pine cones to sell as a school fundraiser.  This will help us provide our traditional leaving meal for our year 8 students and provide for the year 7 & 8 social.  Bags could be sold to friends and family for $5 each.  This would be a big help.

Family Fun Day

Friday 28th October - see notice below.
