2. Special Character Week 2 Term 3 2021

Sacramental Programme:

This term, Sacramental children will be having their First Holy Communion on Sunday the 22nd of August at 9:30am Mass. The first meeting for parents will be held on Monday the 9th of August at St Joseph's School at 7pm.. 

School Family Mass: 

Thank you to Ruma Pukeko-Year 1/2 for the presentation of the gospel in the last week. Today Ruma Kereru-Year 1/2 was presenting the gospel at Mass. Next Week's gospel presentation will be Ruma Takahe- Year 7/8. Thank you to the teachers for preparing our children every week for presenting the gospel at Mass. We are looking forward to seeing you all. You are welcome to join us in celebrating Mass.




Mass Facts

After we have listened to the homily we pray the Nicene Creed. The Nicene Creed is a statement of faith dating from the fourth century. In certain instances, the Nicene may be replaced by the Apostles' Creed (the ancient baptismal creed of the Church in Rome) or by a renewal of baptismal promises, based on the Apostles' Creed (USCBC website)

What does Transfiguration mean? A complete change of form or appearance into more beautiful or spiritual state. Christs' appearance in radiant glory to three of his disciples (Matthew 17:2 and Mark 9:2-3) The Tranfiguration.
