You will need a good work ethic and be able to complete your work to a high standard, independently. You will also need to respect the Catholic special character of our school and will need to be police vetted. The days are Monday to Thursday, 3 hours a day between 2.30 and 5.30pm with some extra hours during the school holidays. All our staff get paid at least the living wage. Please contact the school office for a job description office@stjoseph.school.nz. Applications in writing with a CV to the principal by 1st July at principal@stjoseph.school.nz

Interschools

Next week our intermediate students are involved in either one or two of our annual inter-school exchanges.  The first one is on Tuesday against St Joseph's, Timaru and it involves all the Yr 7 & 8 students.  The interschool is held here at school and starts from 10.00 am and goes to 12.30 pm. Notices have been emailed to all families and a hard copy has been given to the students.  (No permission forms are needed for this interschool, since it is being played at school).

On Thursday, all the Yr 8 students travel down to Mosgiel to compete in an inter-school against St Mary's. There is a number of permission slips and money still outstanding and these need to be paid by tomorrow. Further information regarding this interschool will come out next week so please keep an eye for it.

On Monday morning we were lucky to have Brett Fairweather - creator of JUMP JAM come and visit us and warm us up with some fun dance/aerobics in the hall.  We felt energised and excited to continue participating in JUMP JAM after the fun they had.
