1. Principal News Week 11, Term 2 2015

McLaren Family sad news
Our heartfelt love, prayers and thoughts are with Kelly, Riley, Lochie and Flynn and their extended family after Michael's tragic heart attack on Tuesday night. We are setting up support groups to help them in as many ways as we possibly can. If you would like to volunteer your services or time, please email or phone Jocelyn Marsh jmarsh@stjoseph.school.nz

Our St Joseph's Dominican Choir
A huge thank you to Mrs Brookes and Mr Cartlidge for their work with our wonderful choir. Mrs Brookes also coordinated and conducted the mass choir of North Otago schools during the weeks leading up to the North Otago Choir Festival as well as last night. All children sang beautifully. We were especially proud of our own choir.

Final Assembly Badges
The 2015 Early Childhood Buddies and Young Vinnies will be presented with their service badges at assembly on Friday at 2:30 pm. We will also present the end of term Parish Cup and Veritas Award.

Board News
This year we established the board blog. You can access all reports and news from our meetings. We had our most recent meeting on Tuesday. You can access the board blog by clicking on this link.

Congratulations Chris Cant
Our Year 7 student Seth Sinclair, nominated Chris for the Sport Otago Primary School Volunteer draw. Chris has coached one of our rugby teams for the past seven years and is a well deserved winner of the award. You can read Seth's nomination further in our blog. Chris won $500 worth of sporting goods as well as a $500 voucher for sports goods for St
Joseph's as well.
Thanks to all of our awesome coaches and volunteers who give up their time to coach all of our sports teams.

Sausage Sizzle and Highlanders Mufti Day tomorrow
Many of you will have already seen our Highlanders video that has already received 1,100 views on You Tube. The exciting part about it was that the Highlanders watched it as well and went on to win their game last week. We are preparing another message tomorrow. Here are our enthusiastic teachers being interviewed today and the video that spurred the Highlanders on to their win last weekend. Go the Highlanders !!

We wish all of you a safe holiday and look forward to welcoming you back to Reach for the Stars as Lifelong Learners in the Catholic Faith in Term 3.
