4. Sports Draw - Week 1, Term 2 2018

Netball - Saturday 5th May
There is a Yr 7 & 8 netball development camp on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th July from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm each day at the netball courts.  Mark this date if you are interested and more information to follow.

First team named provides the referee unless one is named.  WCS stands for Whitestone Contracting Stadium. 

Pompellier Tournament
Coaches have sorted out teams and transport for this tournament on Sunday in Timaru.  Good luck to all involved.

Town v Country Match
Is held on Saturday 2nd June (Queen’s Birthday) and will be held at Valley.  The kick off times for the 9/10 grade is 1.30 pm and 11/12 grade is 11.45 am.

First Aid in Rugby
North Otago Rugby are running a First Aid in Rugby (FAIR) course and ideally would like at least one person per club to have this training.  The date is Sunday 24th June.  It is an 8 hour hands-on course with approximately 8 hours of work required prior.  There is a cost of $50 per person which includes catering and a basic first aid kit at the end of the course.  If anyone is interested in attending this well worth course, please let Paula Brien know and she will forward your name on.

Football - Saturday 5th May
Girls – Rep Trials – Football Waitaki Girls Rep Team Trials for the 11th Grade will be held on Sunday 13th May at the A & P Showgrounds from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon for any girl aged between 9-12 years.  For more information, contact Twyla Kingan on 027 251 4234

Midget Football
The skills development programme will start on Friday 4th May (tonight) at the A & P Showgrounds and will run from 4.30 pm to 5.15 pm each week with the exception of the school holidays.  Parents should arrive by 4.20- pm so their child is ready to start at 4.30 pm.  Players will need their club uniforms, shin pads and a drink bottle.

Hockey – Tuesday 8th May
·         Mouth guards and shin guards are mandatory for players at all times while on the turf
·         There is no food or drink allowed on the turf
·         Dirty footwear must be cleaned prior to entering the turf
·         The draw will also be on the North Otago Hockey website at www.sporty.co.nz/northotagohockey  or on the North Otago Hockey Facebook page
·         The turf is numbered from the pavilion end.  T1 Pavillion end.  T4 Scoreboard end.

MINIBALL AND BASKETBALL INFORMATION
The first 2 weeks of miniball and basketball will be grading games. 

Court Controllers – will be named on the draw.  These are North Otago Basketball committee members who have VOLUNTEERED to be available should there be any questions or issues that need resolved on the night.  Please respect any decisions they make.

Referees – Susan de Geest has been approached by several teams looking for team referees.  If you are willing to commit to referee for a team for the season, please contact her and she will pass your contact information on.

No Duty – No Points – If the duty team or duty referee does not turn up for your game, please note on the score sheet for that game.   The points the duty team/duty referee would have received for their game that night will not be added to their overall competition points for placings.

Miniball - Tuesday 8th May

Duty – St Joseph’s Rebels is on duty at the end on the night on the back court.  This involves packing up the score bench into bags, ball, score sheets etc.  Bags and clock to be put into NOBA cupboard at south end of front court.
