2. Special Character - Week 6 Term 3 2016

The Catholic Bishops of New Zealand set aside a week in September for Social Justice Week.
In 2016, Social Justice Week runs from 11-17 September and the focus is on migration.
Today, migration is changing our world in ways that we cannot ignore. This year’s topic for Social Justice Week focuses on migration and encourages students and teachers to share migration stories and respond through prayer and action.
On Monday 12th we will share a School Liturgy in the hall at 9am. The Liturgy will focus on 'Welcoming Migrants and Refugees in the Jubilee Year of Mercy'. Family, friends and parishioners are warmly welcomed. Class Religious Lessons will centre around 'Prayer and Migration Stories' each day.
