Home and School
Food Fair - Many thanks to everyone who helped plan, prepare, run and clean up for the Food Fair.  It was another fabulous day and the food was A M A Z I N G.  Thanks to Melissa Davison whose cry of 'there is still another 4 tickets to be sold for the cake stall' and to Mark Phillips who helped put the stalls together and all the cooks and co-ordinators for their yummy food.  Together we raised over $5500 and had a great day. (the exact amount will be known next week when we have everything in)  Photos of our Food Fair can be seen on another page on the blog.

Annual General Meeting - is on Thursday 17th March at 7.30 pm in the staff room.  We have Derek Beveridge as our guest speaker who will be talking about his role working with youth in the community.  If you would like to join the committee, please come to the meeting or just come along and see what it is all about.

Generic Permission Forms
There are still a large number of families who have not yet returned these permission forms for each child.  We need to have a copy of the permission form on file for each child.  Please return them to the office asap or get another form to complete.

Please remember to return these forms back to the office by Wednesday 30th March.  The fees for these exams can be charged to your account.

Swimming Sports
Thank you to Mrs Souness for organising another successful swimming sports where there was good competition between the swimmers and good vocal crowd support.  Thank you very much to the parents and students who helped with time keeping or doing other jobs which helped make the sports a success. The relays were closely contested and it was great to see Guzman come out on top for the first time in a number of years!!!  Overall house points will be tallied and the house shield along with the swimming trophies will be presented at Kotuitui next Friday at 2.30 pm.  Photos of the sports can be seen on another page on the blog. (Maybe the drought has gone for Guzman house !!!!)

North Otago swimming letters have been handed out today to the children who have qualified for the sports and they need to be returned to Mrs Souness by tomorrow so she can send the entries away. The North Otago swimming sports are held next Wednesday morning.  There will be a programme available for $2.00 and a bbq operating.
