During this term, every Monday a large group of children and parents head up to Ohau Ski Field and learn how to ski or snowboard in a variety of weather conditions. Everyone is amazed at how much progress has been made by the children. There will be no skiing next week and they will have their last day on the mountain on Monday 21st September which will be a joint schools race day with lots of chances for free skiing.
Mrs Gower has been teaching some Yr 6-8 children science experiments where they have been looking at colour changes in the PH level. They were experimenting with red cabbage indicators and mixing it with vinegar (acetic acid), baking soda (sodium carbonate) and soap solution to see what happens.
