SWIMMING
Junior Swimming
Our junior swimming lessons start on Monday 9th March and there are 6 lessons for children in Yrs 1-3 and at this stage the times are either 1.00 pm, 1.30 pm or 2.00 pm, however this could change to only 2 times as we work out how many swimming groups are required. We are waiting for names of the children who do swimming lessons from the Aquatic Centre and when we receive them we will put the children into their groups.  Once they are sorted into groups, we will confirm what time your child's class will be swimming as they maybe combined with another class.

The dates are:

Monday 9th March
Wednesday 11th March
Thursday 12th March
Monday 16th March
Tuesday 17th March
Thursday 19th March

We have not had any replies in regards to parent helpers walking the children to the pool. Please let Mrs Brien know asap if you can help.

Senior Swimming Sports
These will be held next Friday 6th March from 9.00 am to 11.30 -12.00 pm.  A huge thank you to our wonderful parents and some St Kevin's students who have offered to come and help time keep. A notice will be sent out to you next week regarding this.  Information regarding the swimming sports is on another page on the blog.

Please note that the children have to be at school by 8.50 sharp as they are walking down to the pool at that time.  Children cannot be dropped off at the pool beforehand as the teachers have to do their rolls and there is no-one to supervise them at the pool.

All children have been assessed at the pool by their instructors and put in the races they are capable of doing. I have attached a copy of the swim programme to the email and a copy is on the notice board as well.  Some race numbers may change due to new children starting school next week. If you have any concerns about your child's races, please let Mrs Brien know. Everyone who swims a race will earn house points for their house.

Children who meet the qualifying times for the North Otago Swimming Sports will be given a notice after the sports.

Welcome
We warmly welcome Nilah Clark and Manaia Darling to our new entrants class.

Winter Sports Enrolments
A reminder that all winter sports forms have to be handed in by this Friday.  You can go online and complete the sports form or come to the office for a paper copy.  Teams will be sorted within the next couple of weeks providing we have coaches for all teams.
