Prayers

We have changed the way we do school prayers.  Student volunteers will be trained up to be proclaimers and proclaim the Gospel.  We are being mindful of the Holy Spirit and encouraging children to speak up and share their thoughts and insights through our whole school prayer sessions.  There was a great sense of reverence and calm on Monday morning.

Likewise at Mass, the children are now taking a step up as proclaimers and using the lectern to deliver their readings.  Hoiho started us off this week and they did a great job.

Preparing for New Build

During the holidays our teachers cleared out old resources and packed up resources to move out of our senior block, hopefully later this year.  A very efficient job was done.

Art Works

I have noticed a lot of really cool artwork around our school.  Please feel free to come in and have a look at your child's classroom before school and have a look at some of the artworks which are around the building.

EPo8 Challenge

The year 7 & 8s have had a week of collaboration, creativity and problem-solving using the EPo8 STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) equipment.  They are competing against each other today.

Attendance dues

Please read these two snippets from our Diocesan Website which explain attendance dues which are a compulsory payment for children at Catholic schools:

I understand that families can sometimes have difficulty paying the attendance dues.  Please let me know if you would like some assistance with your dues.

If help is required please contact me with the reason and how much you can pay and arrangements can be made.

Ma te Atua e manaaki a aroha,

(God bless, and love)
