Parish 125th Jubilee

St Patrick's parish are celebrating the 125th anniversary of the opening of our Basilica.  Everyone is warmly invited to celebrate mass on Saturday 9th September followed by a buffet supper and social at the Brydone Hotel.  Tickets cost $10, payable to the parish office.

Welcome Mass
Families with children new to the school in the past 12 months have received invitations to a formal welcome mass on Sunday 17 November at 9.30am where children will receive their Bibles from the Home and School Association and be formally welcomed into the school and parish community.  Please RSVP to the office.

Home and School Support
Everyone received a letter in the post last term urging you to support our Home and School in the Hungry Horse cafe at the racecourse.  We will no longer be charging school donations next year but we still receive very limited funding and need to supplement it through the work of the Home and School.  If every family volunteered to do one shift a year we would have it covered.    Please return the forms to the office.

End of Year Mass and Prize-giving
Please make a date for your diary.  This will be on Wednesday 18 December at 6pm in the Basilica.  The junior school will be performing their nativity production.  Our year 8s will be formally farewelled and the Just like Jesus role model prize-winners from each class will be awarded.   We hope all our families can attend to celebrate the end of the year with us.  The following day, Thursday 19 December will be our final assembly starting at 12 noon where the head boy and girl will give their farewell speeches and leaders for 2020 will be announced followed by carols.

God Bless and Aroha
